
SSI's Weight Loss 4 Life Teens is an 8 week program developed for young adults ages 13 & up. This program will teach teenagers to make healthy lifestyle choices through accountability, education, nutrition, and exercise. Weight Loss 4 Life Teens is not a diet, it is a lifestyle! The purpose of this program is to create a better understanding of the importance of healthy eating habits and physical activity in order to live a healthier lifestyle. We will explore different influences that effect the choices teenagers make on a daily basis so by understanding why these choices are made, we will begin taking steps to a new life. All teens begin the program by meeting individually with the instructor. This initial assessment includes measurements for a starting point and establishing personal goals. Then its time to join the group, which meets twice a week for accountability, education, nutrition, and exercise. The first meeting of the week consists of an accountability weigh-in, nutrition log review with suggestions for better food and snack choices, and concludes with a group fitness class only for participants.
The second session of the week has an educational session provided by experts on nutrition, life coaching, exercise and injury prevention, healthy eating tips, accepting change in your life, and many other interesting and helpful topics.
